Fujian Preschool Teachers College is a public normal college directly under the Ministry of Education of Fujian Province. It focuses on teacher education. It has the characteristics of preschool teacher education and the advantages of art teacher education. It is an advanced unit of national school art education and an outstanding teacher of the Ministry of Education. Training plan reform project school, Fujian Civilization School, Fujian Province "Safety First School". The school was once commended by the former State Education Commission for "training qualified teachers for basic education with clear directions and outstanding achievements".
The school originated from the Fuzhou Xiehe Preschool Normal School established in 1915. It has a century of teacher education history and is a pioneer in the field of preschool teacher education and elementary art teacher education in Fujian Province. In May 2005, on the basis of the merger of Fuzhou Preschool Normal School of Fujian Province and Fuzhou Art Normal School of Fujian Province, it was established as Fujian Vocational College of Child Development. In April 2012, it was changed to its current name after being filed by the Ministry of Education. Currently a member unit of the Preschool Education Expert Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, a vice chairman unit of the Chinese Preschool Education Research Association, an executive director unit of the China Chorus Association, a vice chairman unit of the Science and Technology Alliance of Fujian Higher Vocational Colleges, and the Children's Art Art Committee of the Fujian Fine Arts Association Director unit.
is mainly responsible for training kindergarten and elementary school teachers at the junior level in Fujian Province, and recruits some students from outside the province and foreign students majoring in pre-school education. Existing teaching units such as the Department of Preschool Education, Department of Art, Department of Foreign Languages, Department of Humanities, School of Marxism, and Department of Public Education, offering preschool education, early education, special education, music education, art education, art education, art design, and crafts 16 majors including art design, public cultural service and management, English education, primary education, mathematics education, modern education technology, youth work and management, science education, digital display technology, etc., and cooperate with the New Zealand Institute of Higher Education to organize pre-school education majors class. Attached to the Fujian Provincial Preschool Teacher Training Center approved by the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, relying on the Fujian Provincial Pre-school Education International (Cross-Strait) Exchange and Cooperation Center and the Fujian Provincial Pre-school Education Teacher Remote Training Center, it is the first batch of continuing education bases and foreign Cultural exchange base, the central education and science institute basic education art course teacher training base. There are more than 4,500 full-time students and more than 2,000 adult education students.
There are three campuses in Cangshan, Baima and Jinshan, covering an area of 247 acres. There are 2 teaching experimental kindergartens and 2 provincial-level productive training bases in the school. There are 83 "close cooperation type" off-campus education practice bases in Fuzhou. There are also Fujian Children’s Development Kindergarten founded by alumni of volunteers who returned from the Chinese International Promotion Project, and Haixi Baby Early Education Center, which was established in cooperation with the People’s Government of Gulou District, Fuzhou City.

The school participated in the development of 23 national and provincial preschool education and teacher education policy documents such as "Teacher Education Curriculum Standards" and "Kindergarten Teacher Qualification Examination Outline". Since 2010, it has taken the initiative to meet social needs, give full play to its professional advantages, implement the "Six Major Projects" serving preschool education in Fujian Province, and has been commissioned to develop the "Twelfth Five-Year Development Plan for Preschool Education in Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone." Since 2009, the school has cooperated with the Taiwan Muduo Academy and the Early Childhood Education Foundation of the Taiwan Foundation to jointly build the "Cross-Strait Preschool Education and Training Center" and the "Strait Preschool Education Network", and hold training courses for key teachers and principals of kindergartens on both sides of the Taiwan Strait. . It has established cooperative relations with 6 universities in Taiwan, including Hsinchu University of Education, Hongguang University of Technology, Zhongzhou Vocational and Technical College, Gengxin Health Management College, Chaoyang University of Science and Technology, and Yuda University of Science and Technology. It has successively hosted five cross-strait preschool education seminars (forums), and led the signing of more than 10 cross-strait preschool education cooperation projects. In 2013, it established a Fujian-Taiwan cooperative relationship with Cornell Kindergarten in Taiwan and was approved to start the country's first Fujian-Taiwan cooperative preschool English education project.
Since 2003, it has established educational exchange and cooperative relations with more than 30 overseas associations and educational institutions, and has 4 overseas Chinese enlightenment education research bases, of which 2 have been recognized by the National Overseas Chinese Affairs Office as "Chinese Education Model Schools". It has dispatched more than 50 experts, professional teachers and more than 500 volunteers to give lectures in the Philippines, Indonesia, Brunei, Germany and other countries, and carry out the international promotion of Chinese language and the Chinese language enlightenment education. Organized training courses for overseas kindergarten principals and key teachers, and trained more than 1,000 people. It is the first university in my country to recruit and train foreign students majoring in pre-school education at the junior level. In cooperation with the New Zealand Institute of Higher Education, it has jointly recruited and cultivated international pre-school teachers for 4 sessions. Some graduates have gone to universities in New Zealand, the United States, Australia and other countries to continue their studies. Established a long-term artistic exchange relationship with the Montreal Music College of Germany, and selected teachers and students to participate in a number of foreign cultural and artistic exchange activities organized by the Chinese government.
