Fuzhou Melbourne Polytechnic Vocational College

Fuzhou Melbourne Institute of Technology is a higher international college jointly organized by Minjiang College and Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia. It is a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution with independent legal personality approved by the Ministry of Education (School License Number: GOV35AUA03INR20170936N). The twelfth, the only independent Sino-foreign cooperative education college in Fujian Province, formerly known as Aion International College of Minjiang University, has 21 years of history of Sino-foreign cooperative education. The school was established under the background of General Secretary Xi Jinping's active promotion of relations with the sister provinces and states of Tasmania, Australia during his tenure as governor of Fujian. The school followed the school-running idea of “not seeking the largest, but seeking the best, but meeting the needs of the society” put forward by General Secretary Xi when he was the secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China and concurrently served as the school’s host Minjiang College, the predecessor of the former Minjiang Vocational University. Established the school mission of "based in Fujian, integrating Chinese and Western, focusing on quality, and highlighting application", and strive to cultivate international application-oriented talents with patriotic sentiments, international perspectives, familiar with international rules, and similar international professional standards, and strive to build the school into Open, distinctive and high-level international higher vocational colleges.


The school is located in Minjiang College, Fuzhou University City, enjoying the high-quality undergraduate resources of Minjiang College. Students who meet the graduation requirements of both institutions can obtain dual certificates in China and Australia-Fuzhou Melbourne Institute of Technology Vocational College Diploma Certificate and Australia Melbourne Institute of Technology Associate Degree (Associate Degree) or Australian Diploma (Diploma) certificate.


The school introduces international high-quality educational resources, has a "bilingual, dual-teacher and dual-ability" faculty that combines Chinese and foreign teachers, and implements teaching management that is in line with international education. The school established the Fu-Mo International Education Alliance, 119 domestic and foreign universities visited and exchanged 189 batches of 683 people. The employment rate of graduates is over 97%; in the past five years, the domestic college admission rate is around 90%, and the number of admitted students accounts for 60% of the total number of graduates. "Point-to-many" credits are mutually recognized, and more than 1,000 students go to well-known universities abroad to continue their studies.

Minjiang College is a full-time general undergraduate university. When General Secretary Xi Jinping was the secretary of the Fuzhou Municipal Party Committee of the Communist Party of China, he personally served as the predecessor of the school as the president of Minjiang Vocational University for 6 years. The school is currently a pilot university for postgraduate education of majors in "Serving the Special Needs of the Country", a key construction university in Fujian Province, a first-class discipline construction university and the first batch of demonstration universities for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education. It has 16,500 full-time students, a beautiful campus area of 2,245 acres, 15 secondary colleges, a master's degree in business administration, and 66 undergraduate majors.


Fuzhou Melbourne Polytechnic Vocational College is located on the campus of Minjiang College, Fuzhou University Town. Melbourne Institute of Technology is a century-old school in Australia. It was ranked 13th in the "Top 50 Asian-Pacific Vocational Colleges Influential in 2019" released at the 2019 Asia Education Forum Annual Conference, and ranked 1st among the selected Australian universities.
