Minxi Vocational and Technical College is a public higher vocational college. Minxi Vocational University was founded in 1983; Longyan Technical and Jiaotong College was founded in 1978, and was renamed Longyan Industrial School in 1980. In 2004, Minxi Vocational University and Longyan Industrial School merged and renamed Minxi Vocational and Technical College.
