Putian College is a comprehensive public undergraduate university approved by the Ministry of Education, led and managed by Fujian Province, and implemented a system of running a school jointly by provinces and cities. The school is located in Putian City on the Gold Coast and Meizhou Bay on the southeast coast of Fujian. The campus covers an area of 1171 mu, with a building area of more than 400,000 square meters. It has a collection of 850,000 books, 2,252 domestic and foreign periodicals, has online databases such as Wanfang and Chinese periodicals, and has a total value of more than 70 million yuan in teaching equipment and modern education technology centers (including computing centers, audio-visual centers, and network centers). There are 135 laboratories, including 3 training rooms, 21 computer rooms, 95 multimedia classrooms, 8 interactive language rooms, and provincial electronic information experimental teaching demonstration centers, medical basic experimental teaching centers, and nursing experimental teaching centers, and 2 affiliated hospitals, 27 teaching hospitals, 15 practice hospitals. The main goal of the school is to train high-quality application-oriented talents and directly serve the local economic construction and social undertaking development. Currently, there are computer science and technology (including teacher training), environmental engineering, accounting, Chinese language and literature (including secretary direction), journalism, mathematics and applied mathematics, information and computing science, English (including business English direction), Japanese , Tourism Management, Biotechnology, Civil Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, Measurement and Control Technology and Instruments, Applied Chemistry, Engineering Management, Financial Management, Marketing, Physical Education, Advertising, Human Resource Management, Fine Arts, Nursing, etc. 30 undergraduates Majors, as well as 13 specialized disciplines such as mechatronics technology and clinical medicine.
