Founded in 1958, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the earliest higher institutions of Chinese medicine in my country. It has been twice selected as a key university in Fujian Province and is a "first-class university" in Fujian Province.

The school is the first Chinese medicine school in the Mainland to recruit Taiwanese students.
