Fuzhou University is a national "double first-class" construction university, a national "211 project" key construction university, a university jointly established by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education, and a university jointly established by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and the National Defense Technology Industry Bureau. The school has several campuses in Qishan, Yishan, Tongpan, Xiamen, Jimei, Gulangyu, Quanzhou, and Jinjiang, covering an area of more than 7,000 acres.
