Meizhouwan Vocational and Technical College is a full-time engineering public higher education institution approved by the Fujian Provincial People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education. The college is located in Putian, the center of the economic zone on the west bank of the Straits: it covers an area of 535 acres; the building area is 160,000 square meters. There are 283 full-time teachers, of which 83 are professors, associate professors and other high- and intermediate-level teachers, 59 are doctoral and master candidates, and 58 are "dual-qualified" teachers.
