Chongqing Nursing Vocational College is a full-time private non-profit general higher vocational college approved by the Chongqing Municipal People's Government and registered by the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Education Code: 14576). It is in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission. The college is fully funded and organized by the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University. It is located at No. 600 Jiefang East Road, Laifeng Street, Bishan District, Chongqing, adjacent to the Qinggang Elderly Care Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University.
The college covers an area of 287.95 acres, with a school building area of nearly 100,000 square meters, and the total value of existing teaching equipment is 16 million yuan. The college currently has more than 260 full-time and part-time teachers, more than 150 "dual-teacher" quality teachers, more than 40 professional and technical personnel such as professors and associate professors, and more than 80 teachers with master's degree or above, including 6 doctoral degrees. The college was established with the approval of the Chongqing Municipal People's Government in March 2016 and began enrolling students in the same year. There are 8 majors in nursing, midwifery, rehabilitation treatment technology, elderly health care and management, community rehabilitation, traditional Chinese medicine rehabilitation technology, social work, early childhood development and health management, and enroll students in Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou and other provinces and cities. The total number of students in the school is 4,300. The passing rate of the first graduates in the nursing examination was 97.8%, and the results were gratifying.
The college has basic nursing training room, health assessment training room, ICU simulation ward, nursing training room, midwifery training room, human morphology training room, ergonomics laboratory and other on-campus training rooms. The Qinggang Elderly Nursing Center of the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University serves as the college's internship training base, with training rooms for the elderly, rehabilitation training rooms and other training rooms.
