Chongqing Mechatronics Vocational and Technical University (school identification code: 4150012607), formerly known as Chongqing Weapon Industry Workers College, is composed of eight vocational colleges including Chang'an, Jiangling, Jialing, Jianshe, Yangtze River, Wangjiang, Xiche, and Luhua. In 2003, a full-time general higher education institution was established on the basis of Chongqing Military and Industrial University. In the course of 50 years of running a school, the school has gradually formed the characteristics of “derived from the integration of military industry, military academy, and national defense”, “connected industry, intelligent manufacturing, outstanding advantages”, “school-enterprise cooperation, integration of production and education, and collaborative education”. The school is now equipped with mechanical design and manufacturing and its automation, material molding and control engineering, vehicle engineering, electrical engineering and its automation, Internet of Things engineering, intelligent manufacturing engineering, big data technology and application, automotive service engineering, engineering cost, logistics management, 17 vocational undergraduate majors including preschool education. The school’s experimental training center consists of a mechanical engineering center, a Sino-German automotive engineering center, an intelligent manufacturing engineering center, a collaborative innovation center for production and education integration, and a virtual simulation teaching training center. There are 3 training bases supported by the central government, and internships inside and outside the school. , 125 training bases, including 66 off-campus internship bases. The school has 662 faculty members, including 555 full-time teachers.
