Chongqing Urban Management Vocational College

Chongqing Urban Management Vocational College is a public full-time general institution of higher learning organized by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and jointly established by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. It is a high-level professional group with Chinese characteristics (A grade) construction unit and a national exemplary backbone. Vocational colleges, national civilized campuses, national high-quality junior vocational colleges, national advanced units of vocational education, and national advanced collectives for the employment of college graduates.


The school was founded in 1984. It was originally the Chongqing Civil Affairs School of the Ministry of Civil Affairs founded by the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It was upgraded to Chongqing Vocational College of Social Work in March 2001 and was renamed Chongqing Urban Management Vocational College in March 2006.


The school is located in Chongqing University Town, covering an area of more than 700 acres. There are 849 faculty members (including 267 professors, associate professors and other deputy senior titles, 592 doctors and masters, and 2 experts enjoying special government allowances from the State Council). There are more than 16,000 students. The school currently has 10 secondary colleges and 45 enrollment majors. It is open to the unified enrollment of 31 provinces (regions and cities) across the country, and is open to Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Hainan, Gansu, Ningxia, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Inner Mongolia and other 13 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) enroll students individually (categorized), and are one of the three inter-provincial single-enrollment colleges in the country.


Universities and educational institutions in nearly 30 countries including Bangladesh have carried out long-term cooperation and exchanges, including more than 10 countries along the “Belt and Road”, African countries and Central and Eastern European countries. There are overseas teacher workstations in England and Wales, Australia, Cambodian Vocational Education Center, and Ethiopian Luban Workshop. More than 400 foreign students, long-term and short-term trainees from the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Singapore, Africa, South Korea, Southeast Asia and other countries have been accepted, and the number of foreign exchange teachers and students has reached more than 500 person-times. It has been rated as the "Top 50 International Influential" higher vocational colleges for three consecutive years.
