Chongqing Three Gorges Medical College is an ordinary college approved by the Ministry of Education, organized by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and under the supervision of the Chongqing Education Commission. Chongqing Wanxian Health School was founded in 1951, and Chongqing Wanxian Traditional Chinese Medicine School was founded in 1974. In 2006, two secondary vocational colleges merged and upgraded to establish Chongqing Three Gorges Medical College.
