Chongqing Three Gorges College was founded in 1956 and is now located in Wanzhou District, Chongqing, a thousand-year-old city and immigrant capital. It is the only comprehensive applied undergraduate college in the hinterland of the Three Gorges Reservoir area (school code 10643). In 2013, it was approved as a master's degree-granting unit by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council. After more than 60 years of development, the school has become the first undergraduate college in Chongqing that advocates the "green education concept" and promotes the "green education integration of production and education". Now it has formed a discipline and professional system with engineering, literature, and management as the main disciplines, science, agriculture, economics, education, law, art and other disciplines coordinated development, mainly undergraduate education, graduate education, adult education A coordinated development of the school-running pattern. The school covers an area of 3039 mu, with a building area of 685,600 square meters, a total value of 245 million yuan in teaching and research equipment, a collection of 1.799 million paper books, and 1.762 million electronic books. It has established a complete modern electronic book system and information network service system.
The school has 18 secondary colleges, with more than 20,000 full-time undergraduate and above students, including more than 840 postgraduates. There are 62 undergraduate majors, 4 first-level discipline master degree authorization points (Chinese Language and Literature, Environmental Science and Engineering, Electronic Science and Technology, Agriculture and Forestry Economic Management), 4 professional degree master authorization points (Master of Education, Master of Agriculture, Civil Engineering) Master of Water Conservancy, Master of Tourism Management).
