History
Sichuan International Studies University ("Sichuanwai" for short, Sichuan International Studies University for English, and SISU for short) was founded in 1950. It was established under the cordial care and guidance of the older generation of proletarian revolutionaries such as Deng Xiaoping, Liu Bocheng, and He Long. Experienced the Russian Language Training Corps of the Southwest Military and Political University of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (1950), the Russian Language Brigade of the Second Advanced Infantry School of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (1951), the Russian Department of Southwest People’s Revolutionary University (1952), the Southwest Russian College (1953), Five stages of Sichuan International Studies University (1959).
