Huangshan Vocational and Technical College

Huangshan Vocational and Technical College is a public higher vocational college officially established on March 19, 2010 approved by the Anhui Provincial Government and filed by the Ministry of Education. It is also the only higher vocational college in Huangshan. In April 2012, November 2013, and August 2016, Huangshan Health School, Huangshan Tea Industry School, and Huangshan Zhonghua Vocational School were successively integrated into Huangshan Vocational and Technical College. The college covers an area of 691 mu, with a total construction area of 138,000 square meters. The training building, teaching building, library, student apartment, restaurant and other teaching and living facilities are first-class and fully functional. The college now has the Department of Medicine (International School of Nursing), the Department of Tourism, the Department of Bioengineering, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Basic Department, the Graphic Information Center, and the Experimental Training Center.


   There are currently 273 faculty members, including 196 full-time teachers (2 full-time teachers, 74 associate professors, 95 intermediate titles), and 72 administrative and logistics management personnel. The college enrolls full-time general three-year higher vocational students, five-year higher vocational students starting from junior high school, and three-year technical secondary school students starting from junior high school. There are currently about 7,000 full-time students. There are nursing, midwifery, medical imaging technology, pharmacy, tourism management, tour guide, hotel management, catering management, sculpture art and craft, computer application technology, digital media application technology, e-commerce, e-commerce technology, electrical automation technology, accounting 23 majors in 8 categories, including financial management, tea cultivation and tea processing, tea art and tea marketing, gardening technology, and gardening engineering technology, and co-organized undergraduate and specialist correspondence courses with Anhui Medical University and Anhui Agricultural University.


The number and quality of scientific research achievement projects of the college have repeatedly reached new highs. The research projects include 5 key humanities and social science research projects in Anhui colleges and universities; 3 key natural science research projects in Anhui colleges and universities; 5 provincial-level higher vocational education innovation and development action plan projects; There are 2 provincial-level school-enterprise cooperative practical education bases; 2 provincial-level professional comprehensive reform pilot projects; 4 provincial-level quality video public courses; 11 provincial-level teaching research projects; 6 municipal-level social science innovation and development research projects. There are 2 provincial-level teaching teachers, 1 provincial-level teaching team, and 1 third prize of Anhui Province Teaching Achievement Award. In 2017, our college was selected as the list of universities in the research and training program for China's intangible cultural heritage inheritance population. The list was determined and announced by the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education. 78 universities across the country, such as Tsinghua University and Peking University, were selected.


  The college has achieved good results in the national and provincial vocational skills competitions. Liu Shuyang, a student of the Department of Bioengineering, won the first place in the Chinese Horticulture Competition of the 44th World Skills Competition. The college has established cooperative relations with more than 60 enterprises and institutions such as Huangshan Tourism Committee, Huangshan Tourism Co., Ltd., Xiangming Hotel, Ancient Huizhou Cultural Tourism Zone, Huangshan Runyi Company, Huangshan Changren Hospital, etc., and extensively carried out teaching, research, and scientific research.
