  Tongling, which was established in 1956, is located on the south bank of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. It is one of the birthplaces of the bronze civilization of the Chinese nation. Huangshan and Jiuhuashan are within easy reach. It is a typical Jiangnan landscape garden city. After 50 years of hard-working construction, especially the spring breeze of reform and opening up in the past two decades, Tongling’s per capita GDP, fiscal revenue, import and export trade volume, and residents’ income have ranked first in Anhui Province. Has become a shining pearl in Wanjiang area.


   The college now covers an area of 443 acres, with a building area of 125,500 square meters for teaching, administration and living, a library collection of 226,800 books, 27 laboratories of various types, and 22 internship training bases. The college has a team of high-quality teachers with reasonable structure, diligence, and dedication. There are 237 full-time and part-time teachers, of which 58 are associate professors and above, and more than 40% are "dual-teacher" teachers. The college consists of five departments: Information Engineering Department, Mechatronic Engineering Department, Resource Development Department, Management Engineering Department, and Basic Department. It has established computer application technology, software technology, mechatronics technology, numerical control technology, automobile inspection and maintenance technology, 37 majors including applied electronic technology, mold design and manufacturing, construction engineering technology, engineering measurement technology, accounting, logistics management, and e-commerce. The college currently has more than 6,300 students of various types.


The college has successively a number of teaching research projects such as "Modular Design and Practice of Higher Vocational Electrical Technology Skills Training" and won the Teaching Achievement Award of Higher Education in Anhui Province. There are 8 provincial-level teaching research projects and 3 provincial-level key construction courses; 10 A number of scientific research technologies have obtained national patents, and 8 application results have won the Science and Technology Progress Award of Anhui Province and Tongling City.


Relying on the advantages of higher vocational education, the college has successively cooperated with Tongling Nonferrous Metals (Group) Company, Baosteel Group, Wuhan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Anhui Conch Cement Co., Ltd., Changhe Aircraft Industry Group, Nidec (Zhejiang) Co., Ltd., Shanghai Volkswagen Group, Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co., Ltd. and other large enterprises have established industry-university cooperation relations. In line with the "employment-oriented, ability-based" school concept, professional plans and curriculum systems are set up according to market needs, and they adhere to double program guidance, double teacher teaching, Dual-certificate employment (diploma and corresponding national vocational skill level certificate).
