Anhui Forestry Vocational and Technical College is a provincial public full-time general institution of higher learning, affiliated to the Provincial Forestry Department. It is the only higher vocational and technical college in our province that cultivates ecological engineering as the main body and multi-disciplinary coordinated development. Its predecessor, Hefei Forestry School in Anhui Province, was founded in 1952. It was the first batch of colleges and universities established in my country after the founding of New China. In June 2004, it was independently upgraded to Anhui Forestry Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People's Government.
The college currently has 128 faculty members, 95 full-time teachers, 55 external teachers; 2 doctors, 32 masters; 2 professors, 28 associate professors and associate professors, 12 senior engineers, 32 lecturers, There are 8 engineers and 28 "dual-professional" teachers; the college has also hired experts with lecturer titles or master's degree or above from universities, forestry research institutes and related companies as professional teachers, and has established a relatively stable high education level. , A team of professional teachers with high professional titles, "dual-qualified" on-the-job and external recruitment.
The college has three teaching units, the Department of Resources and Environment, the Department of Information and Art, and the Department of Economics and Management, and an ideological and political teaching department. There are more than 3,500 students in the school. The majors offered include forestry technology, garden technology, gardening technology, landscape architecture design, and construction. Engineering supervision, asset evaluation and management, computer application technology, computer network technology, animation production technology, digital media application technology, visual communication design and production, interior art design, environmental art design, accounting, marketing, tea art and tea sales, electronics There are 20 majors in business, logistics management, tourism management, and forest eco-tourism, covering forestry, electronic information, economics, management, art, civil engineering, tourism and other disciplines.
The college has a comprehensive training room for plant cultivation, a landscape design training room, a comprehensive training room for seed inspection and pest control, a comprehensive training room for forest resources investigation, an art design training room, a computer network and animation design training room, and tea art Comprehensive training room, etc. There are 22 on-campus practice bases, 34 off-campus training bases, 2 provincial-level experimental training demonstration centers (forestry technology professional training center, tourism management professional training center), and a national vocational education training base supported by the central government 2 (horticulture training base, modern forestry training base), 2 majors supported by the central government (forestry technology major, garden technology major), and 3 provincial-level specialty majors (forestry technology major, garden technology major, gardening technology major) Professional). The college independently provides continuing education at the junior college level, and co-established continuing education at the undergraduate and junior college level with Nanjing Forestry University and Anhui Agricultural University.
