Anhui Vocational and Technical College of Sports

The predecessor of Anhui Sports Vocational and Technical College was Anhui Sports School. It was founded in 1954. After several changes, it has been renamed 8 times. On June 26, 2001, it was upgraded to establish Anhui Sports Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Anhui Provincial Government.


Over the past 60 years, the college has continuously enriched its connotations and gradually clarified the school-running philosophy of "transmitting moral skills and educating sports elites"; established "based on the industry, facing the society, highlighting skills, and paying equal attention to moral training, and building the sports academy into a physical education." The orientation of the school as a training base for excellent sports talents integrating sports training and sports research; condensed the school motto of "seeking truth, innovation, winning standards, and educating people"; establishing "cultivating high-level sports reserve talents and cultivating high-end competitive sports" The talent training goal of "training high-quality social sports talents" has shouldered the great historical responsibility of "serving for the country and the province, serving the strategy of Anhui's rise, and serving the people's health needs".


  The college has 313 faculty members. There are more than 60 senior titles and more than 70 intermediate titles. There are 10 teaching and training departments, of which 4 sports departments are provincial sports project management centers, and 6 are teaching departments. The college currently has 13 majors, namely: sports training, fitness guidance and management, rehabilitation treatment technology, physical education, sports operation and management, leisure services and management, social sports, performing arts, sports health and rehabilitation, and elderly services and Management, sports art performance, traditional national sports, leisure sports. Among them, there are now 1 central finance-supported industrial development capability project (sports training major), 3 provincial-level specialty majors (sports training, rehabilitation treatment technology and performing arts major), 2 provincial-level quality courses, and a provincial-level teaching team 4, 5 provincial-level teaching and research projects, 2 provincial-level teaching achievement awards, 3 provincial-level teaching teachers, and 4 provincial-level teaching talents. In addition, it has cooperated with Beijing Sport University, Shanghai Institute of Physical Education, Anhui Normal University, and Hefei Normal University in running schools to carry out undergraduate education and postgraduate courses. There are more than 3,000 students enrolled, and the employment rate has remained above 90% in recent years.


   Since the establishment of the school, the college has cultivated tens of thousands of sports talents for the country. A total of two athletes have won 3 Olympic champions. They have won more than 20 world championships in World Championships, World Cup and other major competitions, 2 broke the world record, 21 times won the Asian championship, 18 times broke the Asian record, and nearly 400 people won the national championship. Since the 1990s, the college has produced more well-known athletes, such as national model worker Cai Weiyan, Tai Chi queen Fan Xueping, Asian boxing champion Jiang Tao, women’s basketball Peng Ping, and women’s handball Yue Lian’e. They have demonstrated their elegance in their respective fields and used bodybuilding. His posture wins glory for the country on the world stage. In the new century, more athletes from the college have sprung up on the national and international stages.
