Chizhou Vocational and Technical College is a public full-time general higher education institution approved by the Provincial People's Government in July 2002, a model higher vocational college in Anhui Province, and the first batch of pilot schools for teaching reform in higher vocational colleges in Anhui Province. The school has a long history of running schools. Its predecessors, Chizhou Normal School and Chizhou Agricultural School, were established in 1917. It has a history of 100 years since the establishment of the school and has cultivated a large number of outstanding talents for the country. The school is now located in Chizhou, China's first ecological economic demonstration zone, China's outstanding tourist city, national garden city, Anhui Province's historical and cultural city, and a national sponge city construction pilot city-Chizhou. The city has a beautiful environment, rich cultural heritage, and convenient transportation. The school covers an area of more than 770 acres, with a building area of 250,000 square meters. Among them, 108,000 square meters are used for teaching and administrative buildings, and the total value of teaching equipment is 110 million yuan. The school has a strong faculty, with 356 full-time and part-time teachers, including 7 professors, more than 90 associate professors and industry experts. The proportion of "double-qualified" teachers is more than 80%. There are currently 45 majors in our school, covering electromechanical, computer, finance, nursing, pre-school education, garden biology, architecture, tourism, etc., with more than 8,300 students. The school has 87 on-campus experimental training rooms and more than 200 off-campus internship training bases, which fully meets the needs of students' practical ability training. The school has established a national vocational skills appraisal institute, which has effectively promoted the implementation of the "dual certificate". The school has also cooperated with nearly a hundred well-known enterprises and institutions in and outside the province to cooperate in production, education and research, and established a talent sharing mechanism.
In accordance with the training goals of higher vocational education, the school adheres to employment-oriented, broadens employment channels, provides entrepreneurial support, and comprehensively provides employment and entrepreneurship guidance and services. The employment rate of graduates has always remained above 96%, and it has consistently ranked among the same in the province.
