Anhui Automobile Vocational and Technical College and Anhui Automobile Industry Technician College (hereinafter referred to as the "two institutes" or "vocational college" and "technician college" respectively). It is sponsored by the Auto Group and is now transferred to the Hefei Municipal People's Government.
In order to adapt to economic and social development, improve the level of talent training, and build an automotive vocational education brand, with the approval of the Anhui Provincial People's Government, in 2007, Anhui Automobile Industry Technical School was upgraded to Anhui Automobile Industry Technician College. During this period, the school and Hefei University of Technology jointly established the Hefei University of Technology Higher Vocational and Technical College (JAC campus) in 2000, and began to train high-skilled talents with a college degree; on this basis, in 2010, it was approved by the Anhui Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Education Filing, the Anhui Automobile Vocational and Technical College was formally established. For more than 30 years, the two institutes have adhered to the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, and the purpose of cultivating high-skilled talents in the automotive industry with both ability and political integrity, excellent quality, and sophisticated technology. It has gradually formed a vocational education and training system with comparative advantages, and has become a comprehensive vocational education college integrating academic education, pre-employment education, vocational skills appraisal, employment services and training.
The two institutes are located in the state-level Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone, which has the highest comprehensive strength in the central and western regions of the country, and is adjacent to Hefei Binhu New District. The garden-like campus, well-arranged buildings and high-standard supporting facilities provide a good learning, living and working environment for teachers and students.
The two institutes are guided by Hefei's industrial upgrading and the talent needs of large-scale backbone enterprises such as Jiangxi Automobile Group. They mainly provide new energy vehicle technology, automotive intelligent technology, automotive manufacturing and assembly technology, automotive testing and maintenance technology, automotive marketing and services, and urban rail Transportation vehicle technology, mechatronics technology, industrial robot application and maintenance, e-commerce, computer application and maintenance, CNC processing, advertising design and production, business etiquette, logistics management, warehousing and logistics technology, early childhood education, nursing and other majors. Existing majors not only cover the industrial chain of the automotive industry such as the design and manufacture of complete vehicles and parts, testing and maintenance, marketing and services, but also continue to innovate and expand. Among them, automobile manufacturing and assembly technology, automobile marketing and service are provincial specialty specialties, automobile inspection and maintenance technology is a provincial comprehensive reform pilot specialty, and mechatronics technology is a provincial key construction specialty of the Higher Vocational Education Innovation and Development Action Plan.
The two institutes continue to improve on-campus skill training conditions and have established on-campus training centers for new energy vehicles, vehicle marketing, vehicle maintenance, vehicle assembly, CNC machining, computers, logistics, intelligent control, electrical control, safety technology and physical training. At the same time, a number of off-campus internship training bases with companies affiliated to Jiangxi Automobile Group as the main internship sites have been established.
The two institutes give full play to the advantages of enterprises in running schools, and actively explore the talent training model of "integration of industry and education, school-enterprise cooperation, and integration of engineering and learning"; continuously introduce enterprise technical experts and high-skilled talents into the teaching team, and have established a professional and part-time team. A "dual-teacher" teaching team that combines and has strong professional capabilities; developed an effective and applicable core curriculum with corporate characteristics. At the same time, the college attaches great importance to the construction of campus culture, actively carries out various forms of quality education and character cultivation training, strengthens the combination of Chinese traditional culture and corporate culture in the teaching process, adheres to the education of people and moral education, and forms a distinctive thinking. The two institutes attach great importance to expanding foreign cooperation and international exchanges. Vocational colleges cooperate with Australia International Business School to run schools and Hefei University of Technology to carry out adult undergraduate education. At the same time, vocational colleges also actively organize fresh graduates to participate in the "college promotion" examination, and encourage students to enter full-time undergraduate colleges and universities for further studies. The Technician College not only trains two-year intermediate technicians, three-year senior technicians, four-year preparatory technicians and senior technicians, but also encourages students to participate in academic education held by Hefei University of Technology.
Since the establishment of the two institutes, they have trained a large number of high-skilled talents in technology, management, marketing and manufacturing for the Anhui automobile industry. Since the graduates of the two institutes have the advantages of solid theoretical knowledge and outstanding professional skills, they have been fully recognized by the majority of employers, and the one-time employment rate of graduates is more than 95%.
