Hefei City College (formerly Anhui Jianzhu University Urban Construction College) is an undergraduate full-time independent college approved by the Ministry of Education in 2003 (approval number: Jiaofahan {2003} No. 541). The new campus of the college is located in the "Famous City of Great Lakes"-Huanglu Science and Education Park, Hefei City, next to the Chaohu Tourist Landscape Avenue. It covers a planned area of 990 acres, and currently has a land area of 495.32 acres that has obtained a real estate certificate. The typical Huizhou architecture on the campus is integrated with the small bridge and flowing water, and the sky outside the campus echoes with the blue waves. The college won the honorary title of "Hefei Civilized Unit".
The college opened a new campus in Hefei Beicheng Gangji (the Beicheng training base of the Urban Construction College) in 2018. The Gangji campus is bordered by the Chuhe Main Canal Scenic Sightseeing Belt in the north and Gangji Modern Industrial Park in the south. It covers an area of more than 360 acres. There are currently 11 school buildings with a total of 110,000 square meters, a large indoor sports field of 3000 square meters, and a national standard 400-meter track and field. The departure station of the bus that goes directly to the city center is built at the entrance of the campus. Hefei City Federation of Industry and Commerce Secretary-General's Association Party Branch was listed on the Gangji campus. The college has 29 undergraduate majors in four departments: Civil Engineering, Architecture and Art, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Management Engineering, and Basic Department, covering engineering, management, and art disciplines. There are more than 7,000 full-time undergraduate students and nearly 450 faculty members. Among them, 41.07% are associate senior professional titles or above, and 75.89% are teachers with a master's degree or above.
