Chizhou College is located in Chizhou City, Anhui Province, an excellent tourist city in China, which is the "land of poets for thousands of years". It is a provincial comprehensive general undergraduate college. Founded in 1977, it was originally a college in Chizhou area of Anhui Labor University. In 1980, it was named Chizhou Teachers College. In 1999, the original Chizhou Industrial School was merged. In 2002, the original Anhui Economic and Trade School was merged. In 2007, it was upgraded to Chizhou College. , In 2014, passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work by the Ministry of Education.
The school now covers an area of 1,959 mu, with a school building area of 367,700 square meters. The total value of teaching and scientific research equipment is 134,538,700 yuan, 1,371,900 copies of paper books, 804,500 e-books, and nearly 2,000 types of Chinese and foreign paper periodicals. The only open-circuit television station of universities in Anhui Province has been built. There are 698 full-time teachers, including 66 full-time senior titles, 163 associate senior titles, 611 doctoral and master's degrees; 2 provincial academic and technical leaders, 12 provincial-level teaching teachers, and 18 provincial-level teachers. There are 15,815 full-time students.
The school currently has 13 teaching and research units. Among them, the College of Big Data and Artificial Intelligence was identified by the Ministry of Education as the first batch of construction colleges for the "Data China Hundred Schools Project". The school adheres to the talent training concept of "student-oriented, use first", adheres to the talent training model of "capability-oriented, literacy-based, expertise split, and cooperative training", and takes "applicable universities with distinctive characteristics" as the development direction , Adhere to the path of connotative development. There are currently 57 undergraduate majors. In recent years, the number of enrollment majors has stabilized at around 45. Among them, there are 3 national-level characteristic majors (comprehensive reform pilot majors), and 14 provincial-level characteristic majors (comprehensive reform pilot majors). Co-trained master students with Anhui University of Technology, and 17 teachers became part-time master tutors of the school. In 2019, our school became a new master's degree granting unit in Anhui Province and the establishment of a project construction unit.
The school insists on establishing morality as its fundamental task, and strives to build a talent training mechanism for the comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical education, and art. Adhering to the school motto of "Take Confucius as a teacher and practice knowledge as a friend", vigorously promote the integration of the "trinity" of practical education, innovation and entrepreneurship education, and social responsibility education into the talent training process. It has 1 national off-campus practice education base for college students, 4 provincial demonstration experimental training centers, 10 provincial school-enterprise cooperation practice education bases, 1 provincial-level talent training model innovation experimental zone, and provincial-level outstanding talent education and training There are 6 plans and 1 provincial applied teacher teaching ability development center. In the past three years, 410 college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training programs have been approved, of which 145 are national college students’ innovation and entrepreneurship training programs. In the past three years, students have won 2028 awards in national and provincial discipline competitions such as the China University Computer Design Competition, the National University Student Advertising Design Competition, and the National "Challenge Cup" College Student Extracurricular Academic Work Competition. Students published 201 academic papers. Successfully incubated 8 start-up companies, of which 6 have an annual turnover of more than 10 million yuan, and the employment rate of graduates ranks among the top in the province's employment dynamic monitoring system in Anhui Province.
The school insists on "creating scientific research characteristics with characteristic scientific research". There is 1 provincial-level humanities and social science key research base (Chizhou University South Anhui Folk Culture Research Center), 1 provincial-level key discipline, 1 provincial-level key laboratory, 1 provincial-level key laboratory jointly established by school and enterprise, and city One-level engineering research center. Published 865 academic papers, of which 68 were collected by SCI and EI, and 96 were collected by CSSCI and CSCD; 38 books (textbooks) were published; 56 national patents were approved.
The school insists on "service for support, contribution for development". Jointly formulated the "Chizhou City and Chizhou College Joint Conference System" with the Chizhou Municipal Party Committee, creating a precedent for a joint discussion mechanism between provincial universities and local governments. The school insists on opening up schools. It has successively established exchanges and cooperation relations with more than 10 universities in South Korea, Canada, Malaysia and Taiwan. Among them, it has signed cooperative education framework agreements with Taiwan's Practice University and Longhua University of Science and Technology; signed an inter-school cooperation agreement with the University of Regina in Canada.
