Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine

The predecessor of Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine was the "Wuhu Traditional Chinese Medicine School" founded in 1960. In 2001, the school was independently upgraded and was approved by the Ministry of Education in the following year. It was the first to be renamed "Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine" among similar colleges and universities in the country. In order to integrate health education resources and strengthen the school's strength, in 2006, the municipal government assigned the Wuhu Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital to the school as a directly affiliated hospital; in 2012, the affiliated city dental clinic successfully established an affiliated dental hospital (Wuhu Stomatological Hospital) . The school is currently the vice chairman unit of the Chinese Medicine Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, the vice chairman unit of the Chinese Society of Chinese Medicine for Treatment of Diseases, the sub-health professional committee of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, and the vice chairman unit of the medicated dietary therapy research professional committee. , The chairman unit of the Anhui Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Modernization Research Association.


The school covers an area of 997 acres, with a total construction area of 297,000 square meters. It has teaching departments such as the Department of Medical Care, Department of Pharmacy, Department of Rehabilitation and Health Care, Department of Nursing, Department of Stomatology, Basic Teaching Department, and Ideological and Political Theory Course Teaching Research Department. 31 Chinese medicine, traditional Chinese medicine bone injuries, acupuncture and massage, Chinese pharmacy, pharmacy, nursing, Chinese medicine health management, Chinese medicine health care (including Chinese medicine health tourism direction), medical beauty technology, stomatology, stomatology technology, rehabilitation treatment technology, etc. There are nearly 9,000 full-time college students in colleges and majors. The school has 2 directly affiliated hospitals, 1 Anhui Traditional Chinese Medicine Resources Research Institute, 1 Natural Medicinal Botanical Garden, 9 non-directly affiliated hospitals and more than 120 stable practice bases. The school’s affiliated Chinese Medicine Hospital (Wuhu Chinese Medicine Hospital) was founded in 1958. It is known as "a flower of Jiangnan traditional Chinese medicine" in the Chinese medicine community, and is one of the first batch of demonstration Chinese medicine hospitals in the country and a national third-class Chinese medicine hospital. The Affiliated Stomatological Hospital is a secondary specialized hospital. Its predecessor was the Wuhu Dental Clinic established in 1956. It is currently the largest dental specialized hospital in southern Anhui.
