Anhui University of Technology is a provincial multi-disciplinary higher education institution focusing on work and a key construction institution in Anhui Province. It is a national central and western university basic capacity building project (Phase II) project construction university, located in the national open city Wuhu . The school started in 1935, Anhui Private Neiss Senior Vocational School, and went through the running stages of Wuhu Electrical Manufacturing School (belonging to the former Ministry of Machinery Industry), Wuhu Mechanical School, Anhui Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Anhui Institute of Engineering and Technology, and was renamed in 2010. It is Anhui University of Engineering. In 2015, it was approved as the first batch of pilot universities for comprehensive reform of universities in Anhui Province. The school has a total building area of 650,000 square meters and a total value of 398 million yuan for teaching and research equipment. There are more than 23,000 full-time undergraduates, more than 1,300 postgraduates, more than 1,400 faculty members, of whom more than 510 have senior professional titles.
